About us

We specialise in making corporate video that has a uniquely personal and intimate feel and we’re hugely experienced in guiding clients through the process of making films that create audiences.

Our services include storyboarding and scripting, planning and production and promoting and marketing the finished video.

We’re not big. But we are clever.

Magneto Films is run by Gaby & Jeremy Jeffs who work with a team of talented associates and specialist freelancers.

All of the team are  professionally trained film makers with dozens of commercials,  prime-time films and documentaries to our names, made for the BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic and ITV. And we’ve made hundreds of films for charities and brands.

From TV we bring the essential skill of focusing on the audience, making films that are lively and watchable, using storytelling to engage and inform.

We set up Magneto Films in 2008 to bring our experience of making high quality broadcast TV to the world of video content. Since then we’ve made more than 250 films for brands, charities and health clients.

London video producers

Gaby is a founding partner of Magneto and she’s usually the first contact point for new clients. She’s an extremely experienced film producer and director and loves working with real people’s stories. Gaby brings with her a background in popular TV – including stints for C4 and the BBC plus experience of working for a national parenting charity.

Away from the office, Gaby is a keen gardener growing fruit and vegetables on her allotment in Dulwich and working on our garden in Herne Hill. She also continues to volunteer with the NCT.

London Video Producers

Jeremy began his career working for CSV – a national volunteer & learning charity and then trained with the BBC. He brings 15 years of high-end TV experience to Magneto. His credits include the critically acclaimed Story of India for BBC2, work with Michael Wood and Bill Bryson plus numerous films for Channel 4, BBC TV, National Geographic and PBS.

When he’s not making films for Magneto, he loves baking bread and making pizza, plus cycling and taking pictures.

Anne Monnehay


Anne has over 10 years experience cutting TV adverts and promos. You'll have seen her work on the Meerkat ads for Compare the Market and she's worked on spots for Nike, Audi, Coke, Kinder and Dove. She's also worked on feature docs such as Man on a Wire and with directors including Tim Burton! Anne's got a fresh contemporary approach to editing and her films are visually compelling and emotionally engaging.

Alan Dunlop


Alan is a key part of the Magneto Team and he specialises in working on films for charities and brings decades of experience to our productions. He’s a gifted editor with an eye for details. He's also a technical whizz and can create graphics and navigate the technical minefield of formats, frame rates and fine-cuts.

Sheila Marshall

Producer & Magneto Associate

Sheila brings a wealth of talent and experience to Magneto Films. She's not only got an impressive track record in broadcast TV, making films and series for BBC, Channel 4 and ITV but she's also produced and directed feature documentaries. Not a run of the mill corporate video producer, Sheila's worked extensively with the UK Film Council, Film 4 and the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association. And as if that's not enough, she's passionate about training people to access video and film making skills to tell their stories.

Lydia Akonas

Producer/Director & Magneto Associate

Lydia is a hugely experienced TV producer: her credits include "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" and "X-Factor" for ITV where she edited and produced contestant films and directed VTs for these huge shows. She's also produced and directed on "Britain's Next Top Model" and "Desi Rascals"for Sky. Lydia is wonderful with people and knows how to get the best out of every situation and she'll bring a fresh, contemporary talent to Magneto's productions.
