Charity brand video production

Dementia UK, one of the country’s leading charities needed a hero video to launch their first ever brand campaign. The creative was based around the idea that anyone who has a family member or cares for someone with the disease lives with dementia too. We were asked to create an emotionally engaging brand video that told the stories of 3 people living with dementia and highlighted the help they’d received through Dementia UK.

One story, many voices

We came up with an approach that combines the experience of several people into a single video that tells the story of living with dementia, and demonstrates the postive steps people took to get help from Dementia UK. We spent time conducting pre-shoot interviews to capture peoples’ stories in their own words, carefully transcribing the calls and selecting individual clips from each person that would join seamlessly with everyone else’s story. On the shoot days, we used this script to ask people questions that would allow them to deliver these statements in their own words.

Given the high profile nature of this campaign, we went to great lengths to ensure that the visuals matched the impact of the script, and spent 3 days on location, all round the country shooting sequences and B-roll that would help tell the story.
