Magneto Films is a trusted NHS video production company, making films for NHS organisations across the UK for more than a decade. We work with NHS trusts, national organisations and healthcare teams to produce films that communicate clearly and connect with the people they need to reach.
Our clients include Guy’s and St Thomas’, South London and Maudsley, Imperial College Healthcare, Mid and South Essex and The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals. We have also produced films for national NHS organisations and major programmes, including NHS England and the former NHS Improvement and Health Education England.
Our NHS video production includes recruitment films, training, patient information, case studies and staff films. We specialise in handling complex briefs and turning complicated subjects into clear, engaging films that work for specific audiences, from patients and families to clinical teams and NHS staff.
We’re experienced in working with sensitive subjects and challenging environments, and understand how to work calmly and respectfully with patients, clinicians and other contributors. Our approach combines strong storytelling with the care, accuracy and judgement that health-related projects require.

“I cannot speak highly enough of Magneto. They took our brief and turned it into reality, making a really snappy, creative film that captured the spirit and ambition of our strategy launch.”

Video is particularly effective when information is complex, unfamiliar or difficult to explain in words alone. It can show people what to expect, demonstrate procedures, explain services and bring clinical or organisational stories to life.
At Magneto, we bring extensive experience of filming in complex healthcare environments, working alongside clinicians, patients and NHS staff. Our work has covered subjects ranging from emergency care and ambulance services to ECT, specialist dentistry and mental health services.
We understand that NHS filming often involves sensitive subjects, busy clinical environments, multiple stakeholders and strict requirements around patient privacy and safeguarding. Our experience means we can work confidently within these constraints without losing the human story.
Our approach is documentary-led: real people, real environments and clear storytelling. The result is work that feels authentic and engaging while delivering the information an audience needs.
“The team were skilled and professional but also flexible and responsive. We are very pleased with the quality of the end product and these four short information films will hugely benefit our patients and their families.”

Magneto Films is an experienced health video production company, making films for NHS organisations, health charities and public sector organisations across the UK. Our work covers patient information, professional training, recruitment, internal communications, service explanation and health education.
We have extensive experience working with challenging and sensitive subjects, including alcohol dependence, severe mental health, dementia, learning disabilities and end-of-life care. We understand that filming in healthcare environments requires sensitivity, patience and good judgement, particularly when working with patients, families and people with additional needs.
Our training and information films cover complex subjects including cardiac resuscitation, falls prevention, nutrition and clinical care. We work closely with clinicians, researchers and other subject experts to understand the detail, then turn that knowledge into clear, accessible films focused on what the audience actually needs to understand. Accuracy and safety are central to the process.
Our experience also extends across the health charity sector, working with organisations including Alzheimer’s Research UK, Asthma + Lung UK, Dementia UK and Anthony Nolan. This crossover gives us a broader understanding of health communication, combining clinical and professional expertise with the human stories and accessible storytelling needed to engage patients, staff, families and the wider public.
