Charity marketing video
OnSide are a national charity that runs more that a dozen Youth Zones – amazing inner city spaces for young people. They commissioned us to make a film that would explain who they are and what they do, so that they could raise awareness and create connections with local sponsors.
A fresh approach to a brand video
As well as showcasing their work and making sure that we featured the huge range of activities they offer – everything from drumming and rock climbing to wellbeing and beauty treatments – OnSide wanted to make sure they voices of the young people they work with were front and center.
So we created a video that showcased real stories in a fresh new style: taking verbatim interviews and case study notes, we crafted a script that was a composite of many lived experiences all combined to tell an impactful story and delivered the key messages of the film. Then we recorded more than a dozen young people reading the script and then edited together short clips to produce a mosiac of voices.
Visuals were just as important as the words, so we spent many days planning our sequences, recruiting young people to take part, and then filming them in the hectic evnironment of 4 Youth Zones.
Shot on location in Manchester and London
OnSide are a national charity, so they were keen to ensure that their video reflected this. We filmed at locations in London and Manchester across 4 days, capturing a diverse range of young people and distinctive voices.
A hero film & case studies
Alongside the main brand film, we also produced 3 case studies featuring individual stories.
