Working with charities and not for profits has been part of our DNA since the very start of Magneto Films. Both of our founders have charity backgrounds, as well as extensive broadcast experience, so when we set up Magneto 12 years ago, we made the third sector one of our top priorities.
We continue to work closely with the sector and our recent charity video productions include films for Anthony Nolan, Dementia UK, Target Ovarian Cancer and OnSide. We have a deep understanding of the sector and push to innovate creatively to ensure our videos help good people to do good things.
Our team of video producers, editors and directors are adept at working not only with charity clients but also with the people they help, making charity videos that show respect and care for their subjects whilst remaining authentic and effective.

Dementia UK
Dementia UK recently launched their first ever national brand campaign and they commissioned Magneto Films to produce a hero video.
Based around their creative brief that if someone you love has dementia then you are living with dementia too, we made them a film that weaves the experiences of 3 relatives or partners and explains how Dementia UK were able to help.
Charity case study video
Anthony Nolan
Anthony Nolan are a long standing client and we work with them to produce a wide variety of charity video.
This video is part of series of charity case study videos that introduce the staff, volunteers and donors who make their work possible. This fim features Ezra, a young donor, explaining why he gave his stem cells to help someone else. Shot on location in the East Midlands.
Charity training video
HESTIA
HESTIA are a domestic abuse support charity and they needed a series of training videos to help staff at a high profile organisation to identify and respond to possible cases of domestic abuse.
We worked closely with them to design and script a series of informative videos that were shot in a studio location, demonstrating scenarios and indicators to look out for.
Marketing video for charity
WEA
The WEA are an educational charity providing adult education resources across the UK, they needed a marketing video to help promote their services.
We created a film that showcased the positive experiences of their learners, signposted the national coverage they offer and introduced viewers to the wide variety of courses they offer.
Shot in Liverpool, Manchester and Bradford.

CONCILIATION RESOURCES
EXPLAINING PROCESS & ATTRACTING AN AUDIENCE
This international charity wanted a marketing video that would explain their work in conflict resolution. With limited access to conflict locations, the client decided on an approach that used a dramatic and heightened depiction of the emotions and challenges involved in their work.
We created a clear script, based on their wishes, and also provided casting and location finding in addition to providing all crew and editing services.

SHOWING THE WORK OF A HOMELESS CHARITY
This small charity asked Magneto to make a short marketing video that would explain how they help people who are experiencing homelessness.
We worked with them to create a film tha highlights the issues and brings to life the work of three of their advisors.

ANIMATED RECRUITMENT VIDEO FOR NATIONAL CHARITY
This national charity needed an animated recruitment video to help atract new colleagues to the roles of advisor and phone service operator. The films needed to be short and punchy for social media and to be delivered in several languages.
We created a suite of 5 animations.
